About Us


 

PET is a small testing laboratory exclusively oriented to solar energy subjects and product testing services.  PET is unique solar thermal test laboratory providing internationally certified product testing services and well as R&D oriented testing.

The CEO of PET is Rick Rodgers. He has 36 years of experience in all phases of solar energy design, computer modeling, engineering, analyses, monitoring, and performance testing. PET offers accredited testing and other services to manufactures, designers, and marketers in the solar thermal world. 

Pacific Energy Testing (PET) was founded in the spring of 2009 in Oakland, California and relocated to its present testing facility in Menlo Park, California in August 2009.   

PET became an accredited ISO 17025 test laboratory on November 6, 2009 and a (SRCC) - Solar Rating and Certification Corporation accredited Solar Test Facility on February 1, 2010, the first new SRCC accredited test lab in 28 years.  On July 15, 2011, PET became a recognized European Keymark test laboratory.
