Pacific Energy Testing (PET) began operation in early 2009 in Oakland, California and has relocated to its permanent location to Menlo Park, California. PET became an ACLASS accredited ISO 17025 test lab on November 6, 2009 and a Solar Rating and Certification Corporation (SRCC) accredited Solar Test Facility on February 1, 2010. It is the first new solar thermal test to be accredited in 28 years and the only private solar thermal test laboratory in the United States. At the present time, it offers the fastest path to SRCC certification of any test lab in the world.
The CEO of PET is Rick Rodgers. He has over 30 years of experience in all phases of solar energy design, manufacturing, computer modeling, engineering, analysis, monitoring, and performance testing.
The company offers accredited testing services to ISO 9806-1, ISO 9806-2 and SRCC Standard 100 (Solar Collectors) testing beginning February 1, 2010.
Solar thermal product manufacturers seeking to market their products in the United States should contact Rick Rodgers as early as possible at rick.rodgers@PacificEnergyTesting.com to inquire about all solar energy testing services.
